About Ben's Beads

Ben:

Ben is a local Alaskan who started beading at the age of 12 and fell in love with it. Ben is particularly fond of hematite for its believed properties of healing. He likes to feel that his work brings calmness and emotional healing to people.  He mostly focuses his beading prowess on making necklaces and bracelets. His beading guru, Linda, gave him his passion for beading as well as much of his bead collection, before being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. Ben started selling his work five years ago and has moved his business to a whole new medium!

Katie:

Katie is a co-beader and focuses mostly on earrings. She started beading as a basic creative outlet and got her beading inspiration from another Linda. Katie also enjoys making things such as wine glass charms. She enjoys other crafty things including crochet, embroidery, and creating duct tape wallets. Katie is also the master of the website.
